Privacy Policy

Overview

Room Robin is a chore-sharing app for households. To work, it needs an account for you and a shared record of your nest's chores, assignments, and proof photos. This policy explains what we store, why, and what we never do.

What we collect

• Account information — your name and email address, or the identity you share when signing in with Apple or Google.
• Household content — your nest's name, members, chores, schedules, assignments, votes, and notes.
• Photos — the before-and-after photos you submit as proof of completed chores, and any photos attached to bumps.
• Device tokens — a push-notification token so we can send due-date reminders and nudges.
• Home location — if the nest creator enables arrival reminders, the nest's home address and precise map coordinates. These are stored with the shared nest and visible to its members.
• Reminder preference — whether you have individually opted in to arrival reminders.

How we use it

• To run the rotation, voting, and reminders that make up the product.
• To show your nest's activity to the members of your nest — and only them.
• To create an on-device geofence for members who choose arrival reminders. Your phone checks when you enter the 100 m home radius; your live device location is not uploaded to Room Robin.

That's the whole list. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or anything outside the app.

What we never do

• We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not show ads.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.
• We do not read your photos for any purpose other than displaying them to your nest.

Where data lives

Room Robin's backend runs on Supabase (Postgres database and photo storage) with an application server we operate. Photos are stored in a private bucket and served to nest members through short-lived signed URLs. Sign-in is handled by Apple, Google, or email-and-password, depending on what you choose.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account from within the app (Perch → delete account). If you cannot access the app, email hello@getfocusphone.app from the email address on your Room Robin account with the subject “Delete my Room Robin account.” Deletion removes your account, your photos, and your membership records, and scrubs your content from active nests. Some records may persist in backups for a limited period before being purged.

Children's privacy

Room Robin is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. Material changes will be called out in the app.
